Cats at Wilkes County Animal Shelter
The animals are coming and going all the time at the Wilkes County Animal Shelter!
Please call the shelter before you go to see a particular dog. This page is updated several times a week and can't guarantee that the animal you are wanting hasn't already been adopted.
These cats are available for adoption at Wilkes County Animal Shelter at 408 Call Street, Wilkesboro, NC, (336) 903-7688. If you are looking for a cat that may have been turned in as a stray, please visit or call the shelter regularly. This webpage does not post photographs of the stray cats being held in quarantine. (We recommend that you also check the Wilkes County NC Lost and Found Pets page on Facebook.) THE SHELTER IS STILL OPEN FOR PET ADOPTION.
The shelter's hours of operation are 10:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday, and 10:30 a.m. to noon on Saturday. The adoption fee is $75.00, or $50.00 if cat is already spayed or neutered. This fee pays for the following:

3. The first in a series of feline distemper and upper respiratory vaccines.
4. Rabies vaccine at 4 months
5. Spay or Neuter at 4-6 months
6. Other services are recommended and should be discussed with your veterinarian at the first visit.
