Success Stories

Here are a few of our foster pets who have recently found their forever homes!

We love our Adopters!!

Just wanted to update you on Plug ( formerly Danny)
He is doing great. We love him! He is learning so much.  He has such a wonderful personality. Even my older dog Roscoe has finally warmed up to him. Haha!
He has his own bed on our recliner and has a bunch of favorite toys.
Took him for his shots last week and he is 16 lbs.

Bonnie is doing very well! She adjusted to her new home easily and we have really enjoyed having her so far. She is such a sweet, kind, loving cat and a perfect fit for our family. She has been very good with the kids who are still learning to be gentle with her as this is their first pet (and one of them is only 8 months old). We couldn’t be happier!

Bard
Bard is doing well and is a super sweet cat! He loves to play, and cuddle. He is getting used to the dogs and likes to hide in closets. I'm really happy that I adopted him.

Chelsea
She spends her days playing with our other cat that was adopted in 2016 (Mister now named Zeus).  Chelsea (now named Rouge) spends her days lounging on or under the bed or in front of a window and she plays all night.  Rouge is a world class hider, I have learned her favorite hiding spots . She gets along great with my husband although I'm the favorite and she's starting to warm up to my daughter (she's a toddler and a ball of energy).  Rouge has made a great addition to our family.

Sunnie
The kids changed Sunnie’s name to Daisy Mae.  She is full of energy.  She has started holding her ears up now that look like she could hear anything from miles away LOL!  She has fit right in to our family.  Her favorite toy is a pink dog that she chase all over the house.  My son’s goal is teaching her how to play fetch (however I think she is teaching him how to play it lol).  My daughter helps with bath time.  Each child likes to spend some one on one time with her.  They both take her out to use the restroom and stay out with her.  On pretty days I allow her to stay outside for no more than an hour at a time.  She enjoys Ella our older pet.  Daisy is very loving and playful.  We have bought her several shirts to wear; however she has found out how to take them off herself.

Autumn

Maia has made a new friend!  They weren't sure about each other at first, but now they play together

We named him Floyd and he loves it.  We are all adjusting to one another and having fun.  He loves to be near his momma.  Eating well and listens pretty good too. Thank you for him!

Buddy, aka “Odie” who most of the time goes by Odie Buddy Boy has been such a sweet little addition to our family!  He has made himself right at home from day one. He enjoys frequent belly rubs, riding anywhere, and lounging while snoring away!  We love his little personality and are so glad we got to bring him into our home.  Thanks to the Humane Society of Wilkes for all you do to help these loving fur babies!  Here are some pics of our sweet boy!  He has had a trip to the groomer so he looks even more handsome!
