Ginger turned up at her caretakers' home as a stray. They were unsuccessful in finding her owners, so they took her to the vet to get her vaccines and had her spayed in hopes of finding her a good home. She's 2-3 years old, weighs 48 lbs., and is crate trained. She has a lot of energy and is super friendly.  She'd love a home where she could get love, attention, training and exercise. Unfortunately, she has a bit too much energy for the toddlers at her current home because she gets so happy and excited sometimes. (She’s very sweet with them just a little too big for them to manage.) If you're interested in giving this beautiful dog a safe and loving home, please contact Alex at 828-244-4630.

Gus is a handsome pure-bred, 6-year-old, 80-pound, neutered male Labrador Retriever. Sadly, he needs a new home due to serious health issues for his owner, who has had him since he was a puppy but is no longer able to care for him. He's a good boy, smart and healthy. He's reliably house trained and crate trained. (But he prefers the bed!) He is pretty good on a leash, but could use some improvement. He hasn't been around other dogs or kids much, but he has a good temperament and will probably adjust well to his new home. He can still learn and wants to please.

Gus's vaccines are up to date through fall of this year (records available). He's been on monthly prevention for heartworms, fleas and ticks. His overall health and energy are good with one "Labrador lump" on his belly that the vet says is not a concern. If you are interested in giving Gus a safe and loving home, please contact Pete at 336.902.3356

Handsome Mr. Pumpkin Patch was rescued from an abusive situation. He is almost 15 years old and has so much energy after spending years locked up! He loves to snuggle, watch birds out the window, and he is very talkative. He would do best in a home where he can be the only cat and his owners will be home often to cuddle with him, as he loves being the center of attention. He needs a small pill for hyperthyroidism once in the morning and once in the evening, but he takes it very easily in a pill pocket with food. The medication is inexpensive and only costs about $10 a month.

He is easy to care for and will be looking for his forever home in August, when he finishes his treatment for the illnesses that his previous situation left him with. If you are interested in giving him a loving home for his golden years, please contact Carol at (336) 984-5614.
